Clythanger
a video game theatre on gender based violence
at Verein Mark für kulturelle und soziale Arbeit, Salzburg 2023
ClytHanger is a gaming dinner where you attend a family reunion. While following an engaging plot, you are invited to animate playable characters at the table and intervene in the story. The performative simulation is designed as a 5 course dinner with increasing tension at each course. As the levels proceed, the difficulty is heightened and so are the goals. The outcome of the event is depending on you!
*The game is inspired by the high number of femicide cases in Austria and investigates the prevention strategies for bystanders of domestic violence.
ClytHanger was funded by Stadt Salzburg and Land Salzburg.
